To close at 22,604.85, the NSE Nifty dropped 38.55 points, or 0.17 percent. During today’s session, the index reached a new high of 22,783.35. In today’s trading, the 12-stock Nifty Bank index, which covers the banking industry, also reached a record high of 49,974.75. But at 49,396.75, it closed with a fall of 27.30 points, or 0.06 percent.
